Popeye’s Expands with Guillermo Perales

Popeye’s is a major chain with restaurants all over the United States. It is one of the most popular and beloved fast food chains in the country. However, you might not know that Popeye’s is run by franchisees. That means that individual owners are in charges of the Popeye’s stores; the national brand is made up of several franchise owners. One of the largest franchise owners is Guillermo Perales. He owns most of the Popeye’s stores in Dallas, Texas, and now also owns stores in Florida, Oklahoma, and around the United States. While Sun Holdings also run franchises for other fast food brands, for more than 400 franchises in total, Popeye’s is one of their largest brands.

When Popeye’s wants to expand their franchises, they often turn to Guillermo Perales as a franchisee. This year, Popeye’s is building four stores that will be franchised to Sun Holdings. Two of those stores will be in Oklahoma and two will be in Texas. These will add on to the already large number of Popeye’s franchises that are owned and operated by Sun Holdings, LLC, Guillermo Perales’s Dallas-based company. Guillermo Perales looks forward to working in new communities in Oklahoma and Texas, and to creating jobs in those towns.

Popeye’s relies on Guillermo Perales to represent the brand to the community. They trust his business sense and know that he will hire great staff to run the stores. Guillermo Perales received the Popeye’s Developer of the Year Award in 2003, 2004, and 2006. He also received three Popeye’s Gold Plate awards, three Silver Plate awards and two Bronze Plate awards from Popeye’s. He was named #1 in Operations Excellence in 2006, 2007, and 2008. Guillermo works well with Popeye’s management, and his stores always achieve high rankings for quality, customer service, and other benchmarks.
